PhD education can be financed in different ways. The most common is through an PhD employment/doctoral position at the department. That a company pays for the research and PhD studies is the second most common form of financing. Detailed information on the financing of PhD studies can be found at web pages of the Faculty of Science and Engineering (link to pages of PhD study funding at Faculty of Science and Engineering).
