Application, admission and funding PhD education
Everyone who is doing their PhD studies, regardless of with which funding, is to be admitted to postgraduate level/third cycle studies.The laws and regulations governing PhD education are in Swedish only (links found on the Board of PhD Studies (FUN) at the Institute of Technology/Faculty of Science and Engineering).

An application for admission to PhD studies should be handed in as soon as possible.

Financing
PhD education can be financed in different ways. The most common is through an PhD employment/doctoral position at the department. That a company pays for the research and PhD studies is the second most common form of financing.
