Application, admission and funding PhD education

Everyone who is doing their PhD studies, regardless of with which funding, is to be admitted to postgraduate level/third cycle studies.

The laws and regulations governing PhD education are in Swedish only (links found on the Board of PhD Studies (FUN) at the Institute of Technology/Faculty of Science and Engineering).

Financing

PhD education can be financed in different ways. The most common is through an PhD employment/doctoral position at the department. That a company pays for the research and PhD studies is the second most common form of financing.
