Student account

Q: I need more storage space on my student account.

A: We do not increase individual student quota for courses. The reason is simple. We may not subsequently go in and clean up stored data that is not removed voluntarily. The space available is calculated to be sufficient for all courses. You may use up to 1GB of storage but we will send a reminder to anyone with over 180MB to clean up in order to keep total amount of data down on the file server. If the course coordinator sees a need for additional space then it is possible to create project areas. There we can clean up after the course has finished since it is counted as a temporary space. So bring the issue to the course coordinator.

Matlab

Q: Matlab does not work for me but for everyone else in the lab room.

A: A file classpath.txt in your root directory can sometimes cause problems. Try to rename it. If problems was solved you can remove it.
