Future Research
MIMO systems provide high data rates and increased coverage through applying multiple antennas between two nodes. MIMO technologies are evolving rapidly and there exists a huge potiential in carrying on the work conducted in this project. SINR models could be derived for 8 x 8 Open Loop Spatial Multiplexing and implemented in the Java based radio network simulator. It could be interesting to extensively simulate and compare the results of different types of interfering signals in different scenarios and draw conclusions based on the SINR values.
Since MIMO solutions are essential to the future communication industry, this would open many windows to look through.
