Autonomous Trucks

At a restricted area, such as an open mine pit, one can gain several advantages if the driving can be done autonomously. The aim of this project was to

  • develop a simulator for autonomous trucks based on the simulation environment PreScan.
  • develop and implement
    • vehicle models
    • planning algorithms
    • mapping algorithms
    • algorithms for estimation of a vehicle’s mass, center of gravity, position, etc
    • controllers for gas, brake and steering
